We have been preparing our songs for our concert on March 13th at 7pm. We are very excited to share our songs about St. Patty's Day and Music in Our Schools Month.

Our fourth graders now know how to read music!!!! We have learned the different lines and spaces on the staff and have used this knowledge in a variety of different ways.

Our knowledge of musical symbols is growing! We just used them to create musical monsters. This was good practice drawing the symbols and recalling their names. You can see our work in the hallway outside the music room.

We are becoming experts on musical symbols. We can identify most of them by name and will be using them throughout the school year as we read and write music.

Our students have been reviewing musical symbols and using them to play different games in music class. We have also been rapping the Preamble to the US Constitution in honor of Constitution Day (9/17).
We will be learning some pirate songs this week as well, in honor of International Talk Like a Pirate Day (9/19). Aaaaarrrrr!!
