Capital Project Planning

The Cortland Enlarged City School District is excited to share information about our upcoming Capital Improvement Project proposal.  Please join us for a live-stream presentation on Tuesday, October 5 at 6:00 p.m.  Please also explore the resources on this page.  Our current project proposal seeks to update our buildings, significantly improve mechanicals in Barry and Smith, improve parking and traffic patterns at Barry and enhance the bus loop at Randall, replace the turf at the Moiseichik Stadium Complex, and upgrade and renovate teaching and learning spaces.  In addition to our focus at this time, this project proposal is also helping us realize the importance of routine capital improvements.  Throughout this project we identified future needs and considered the state of our capital reserves.  In order to continue to maintain our facilities and ensure that they are appropriate for 21st century learning we will continue to examine our fiscal state to ensure preparedness for our next project in order to become consistent, intentional and stable in our capital improvement work.

Please explore all of the resources below.  You will note that our current proposal is the result of considerable effort and study.  Our process began with the 2015
Building Studies and Surveys, continued in the 2019-2020 school year with the formation of Building Sub-Comittees, and continued through last year as we narrowed the final scope.

Please also remember to join us for our Public Presentation and remember to express yourself with a vote on October 13.
