January 30, 2023 - Professional Development Day - Staff only





CUPID SHUFFLE Semi Formal for students in Grade 11 & 12 is Saturday, February 11th from 7-10 pm in the Commons.  Tickets will be sold Monday, January 23rd- February 8th. No tickets will be sold at the door.  Cost:  $20 per person for all Cortland Jr & Sr. students.  $25 for all approved guests.  No tickets will be sold at the door.


Junior & Seniors who want to bring a guest (underclassman or from another school)- Please see Mrs. Henry (Rm 165) or Mrs. Pomeroy (177A) to purchase your tickets and obtain required paperwork. All guests' paperwork must be submitted to Mrs. Henry or Mrs Pomeroy no later than Thursday, February 9th!

Please see Mrs. Henry and/or Mrs. Pomeroy to purchase your tickets to Semi Formal.


Student Senate will be selling King size candy bars for Valentine’s day. Each candy bar is $2 and will be handed out during homeroom on Valentine’s Day. Send a candy bar to anyone in the junior high. You can order these during lunch Feb 6-10 or see Mrs. McNerney or Mrs. Pomeroy to order


Tonight AND tomorrow, be sure to catch Cortland Jr High Theater’s production of “Oh, Horrors! It’s murder!” Tickets will be $6 at the door and performances will be at 7pm frinday and 2pm Saturday. See you all there!

This year’s Spring play will be Little Women. Auditions will be held in the auditorium Wednesday February 1st from 6-7:30. All students grades 7-12 are welcome to audition! Audition packets will be available are now available outside of the choir room!


7th and 8th grade students are selling cookie dough for their fundraiser! Students-make sure you got your packets and start selling! For every 10 items you sell, your name will be put into a raffle!


Attention all students and staff - Semester 2 begins Tuesday, January 31st. This will be cycle day B. 

Heads-up to all 10th graders!  Are you interested in attending a Career & Tech Ed program at BOCES (such as Welding or Cosmetology) for both your Junior and Senior years?!  If so, you will want to complete the Google Form emailed to you last Friday, AND you need to pick up a permission form in Guidance to attend the field trip to see your top two choices. Return it by next Tues (1/31/23). Field trip is the following day, 2/1/23.
