We have shifted to remote learning for all students through Friday, October 23rd. This is because the health department's data suggest that we need to take a pause from in-person learning in order to let a number of quarantine situations run their course. As we know, the positive rate in our county has been the highest in our region; switching to remote learning for all will help reverse that trend. For those students who have been learning in person, we will return to school on Monday, October 26th.
Breakfast and lunch will continue to be provided for all students. These can be picked up between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., Monday - Friday, at Barry Primary, Smith Intermediate, Randall Middle, Penguin Park, Parker Elementary, Virgil Elementary, and Rickard Street. Reach out to Food@cortlandschools.org
with any questions.
All sports and in-person school activities are cancelled or postponed for the duration of the switch to all-remote learning.
Students who attend a full-day BOCES program will continue to attend, in-person. Transportation, if previously provided, will continue.
