Cortland City Schools has a department whose role is to plan, implement, install and repair technology in the district. The department works at staying current so that it can offer the best solutions with a quick turnaround time for students and staff.

Information Technology Resources

Cortland City Schools provides many information technology resources for its students and staff. All our classrooms have  internet capable computers including PC's , Laptops and or Tablets. Our JSHS is equipped as well with an Adobe Art Desgin Lab, an Autocad, Robotics and 3D Printing Lab as well as a Photography / TV Studio . We provide network accounts to all our students so that they may work on projects and have a place to store them. Students are provided email and Microsoft Office 365 accounts upon request. The District also provides access to many databases for classroom use. Students can access these from any PC in the district. In addition the district maintains many software titles on its PCs and network. Finally, students also have access to, GPS units, digital cameras and HD digital camcorders, scanners, Smart Boards, and many other technology tools.

Technology Planning
The Technology Planning Council (TPC) exists to provide guidance and recommendations for information technology implementation in the district. The council is made up of a representative cross section of  IT Staff, Teachers , Administrators, students, SUNY Cortland, Cortland area business and parents. The group meets quarterly during the school year and keeps the technology plan current.
