American Rescue Plan of 2021

In March 2021 President Biden signed the American Rescue Plan (ARP).  That plan was followed by a series of regulation and guidance from many agencies including the United States Department of Education who, shortly thereafter, announced the amount of ARP Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) funding that each State would recieve to support their efforts to reopen K-12 schools safely and equitably.  New York State proportioned the allocations and opened its portal so that each school district could begin to plan for its access to the funds.

The 2021-2022 state budget included language requiring any local educational agencies (school districts) who would recieve funds to post on their website a plan for how the funds will be used.  This page is meant as our informational hub regarding our American Rescue Plan - Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief funding.
