Cortland HS 2019 Fall Musical "The World Goes 'Round"

Cortland, NY- Students of Cortland High School’s Theatre program will perform “The World Goes ‘Round” as their 2019 fall performance.

Enter the world of the distinguished and celebrated writing team, Kander and Ebb. “The World Goes 'Round” is a stunning revue of the songbook from the multi-Tony award-winning team, with the original production winning three Drama Desk Awards.

Filled with humor, romance, drama, and nonstop melody, this title is a thrilling celebration of life and the fighting spirit that keeps us all going.

Cast members find themselves careening through the world of love, loss, and coffee. From Cabaret to Chicago, the nonstop hit-parade features unforgettable gems, including “Mr. Cellophane,” “All That Jazz,” “Maybe This Time,” “Cabaret” and “New York, New York,” seamlessly interwoven into a passionate, harmonious, up-tempo evening of musical theater that you won’t soon forget.

Cortland’s production is directed by Susie Carr Feuerherm with musical direction by Ben Wells, technical direction by Nicholas Alteri, and Choreography by Aisling Halpin, Doug Robbins, and Catherine Skojec Daly. The ensemble cast showcases the many talents of Nick DeRado, Conley Egnor, Séamus Gailor, Leah Gesin, Matt Honan, Amanda Hopko, Angela Lang, Clare Lickona, Olivia McKenna, Jenna Saltsman, and Michael Williams.

Performances will be held in the lab theatre of Suny Cortland’s Dowd Fine Arts Center 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, December 12, 13 and 14, 2019, and 2 p.m. Sunday, December 15, 2019. Due to limited seating, tickets will be sold online only at
