CJSHS Students Choose Community Service for Spring Break Trip

A group of students from Cortland Junior Senior High School (CJSHS) recently spent their spring break taking part in some community service and giving back to another school.
For this year’s spring break trip, CJSHS students travelled to Canada and Costa Rica. In Canada, the group visited Quebec for a few days and took in the sights. From Canada, the group then headed down south to Costa Rica, where they took part in some community service, which was centered around helping a Costa Rican school.

The group gave the school supplies that they had collected through donations from throughout the Cortland community. After handing out the school supplies, the group then got started in the rest of their community service efforts at the school. First, the group helped paint some of the walls in the school. Following this, the group took part in a reforestation program, planting an impressive total of 240 trees.
