Link Crew is a high school transition program that welcomes freshmen and makes them feel comfortable throughout the first year of their high school experience. Built on the belief that students can help students succeed, Link Crew trains members of the junior and senior class to be Link Leaders. As positive role models, Link Leaders are motivators, leaders and teachers who guide the freshmen to discover what it takes to be successful during the transition to high school.

What Every Freshman Should Know

Get involved, join a group, and have some fun!

Arrange priorities & manage time because every minute counts.

Make your own decisions. 

Even the small decisions will make a big difference.

Treat adults with respect and you’ll get it back

from them, especially the lunch ladies!

Set the bar as high as possible and don’t be afraid to fail. 

Working hard pays off!

Get to know new positive people and make friends with those whom you are proud to have.

You have people at CJSHS who support you (like your link leaders) so ask questions; ask for help.

Schoolwork is a number one priority.  Do your work well and study.  Your grades count toward your future now.

Be prepared and have organizational skills.

Stay drama free, focus on the positive.
