Coordinators
Three staff members that are trained and responsible for running all aspects of the Link
Crew Program. They will organize and facilitate the process of Leader training, run opening day of orientation, and keep the program alive throughout the year with a variety of Follow-Up activities. Work as a team and be the contact to the Boomerang Project.
- Attend Link Crew conferences at least once a year
- Create annual Link Crew calendar of event
- Select, train, and motivate Link Leaders
- Create and organize Commissioners and the A-Team
- Design public relations and create lines of communication to inform
- Organize Link orientation for ninth graders
- Select and schedule Academic Follow-Up lessons
- Organize Social Follow-Ups
Commissioners
Four Link Crew Leaders that are selected to work all year to help the Coordinator with the details of the program.
- Design T-shirts and place orders
- Prepare and mail invitations
- Design and hang posters
- Coordinate logistics for orientation
- Manage activities for the A-Team
- Coordinate logistics for all the Follow-Ups
- Report to student government, staff on activities and plans for Link Crew
Assistance Team (A-Team)
A team of six –twelve students who prepare for orientation and support the Coordinators with all the logistics before and during that day.
- Check classrooms during orientation for any missing supplies
- Organize and pack supplies after orientation is over
- Clean up gym after orientation
- Check classrooms during closing assembly for cleanliness
- Assigned as Link Leaders for Special needs and transfer students
- Assist with posters and other clerical duties
Crews
The small group of 6-8 incoming ninth graders that work with the Link Crew Leaders.
Associate
This is a recent high school graduate who was a Link Crew Leader who returns to coach and assist on days of training and orientation.
Link Crew Support Team
This is a team of made up of other staff members who have not been trained but support the Link Crew program preparation and implementation for orientation day.
